In December of 2016 I was stopped, blinker on and ready to turn into my driveway when all the sudden I heard a loud crash. I looked up into the rearview mirror just in time to realize what was happening. Thankfully I wasn't hit from behind. Unfortunately the other 4 cars behind me were. Once traffic cleared so that I could pull into my driveway I parked and got out of my vehicle to check on everyone to make sure no one was hurt and to see if anyone needed a phone. The person at the tail end of this unfortunate situation was extremely upset, while everyone else was doing alright considering. I decided to stay and talk to the woman that was upset trying to keep her calm. She was so shaken up that I had to call her husband for her. She was shaking really bad and couldn't hold her phone in her hand. She was upset saying "this is all I need with Christmas being here." I told her "it will be alright. Just think of the good in this. No one got hurt. And you have insurance right?" She said "Yes, I have insurance." Then she proceeded to tell me more good stuff like "and no kids were with me." She made a long list of good, positive things. I stayed until her husband arrived but before I left her I told her "I am glad no one got hurt and I am glad that I could be here for you. Keep focusing on the good and work through the rest."

Let this be a reminder that there is always something positive to focus on.

Sometimes it isn't going to be a happy ending because like so many things going wrong and conditions that prevent a resolve come into play. We always have an outlook to believe in positive things and that is Sometimes cluttered by the weight of impossibility by circumstances and conditions. It's luck that everyone had a call admist disaster and fortunate that it wasn't worse or even yet not explainable Yule tidings for everyone in this season of good cheer and merriment
